A few places to begin

Same Naples. Different everyday experiences.

These are starting points for exploring the area, not rankings of where you should live. Source details checked Oct. 12, 2026.

North Naples / A local destination

Around Mercato

Mercato brings restaurants, shopping and entertainment together at 9110 Strada Place. Its directory includes coffee, groceries and places to eat, so you can plan a visit around more than one stop.

Explore it: Browse the directory, pick a stop and check its hours before heading over.

Golden Gate Estates / The bigger picture

Understand the Estates

Collier County’s rural Golden Gate Estates planning materials cover land use, infrastructure, services and preservation of rural character. The location of a specific property matters more than the broad area name.

Explore it: Look at the county maps, then try the routes to your usual errands. Check the details of each parcel separately.

Central Naples / An outdoor connection

Baker Park & the Greenway

At 50 Riverside Circle, Baker Park connects to the Gordon River Greenway by a pedestrian bridge. The city lists bike paths, a kayak launch, playgrounds and a splash pad among its features.

Explore it: Start with the city’s park page to plan a walk or outdoor stop.

A closer look at Ave Maria

Oct. 12, 2026 · Collier County

Get to know the Town Center, parks and everyday stops—and check which amenities come with each community.

The everyday stops

Ave Maria’s official guide lists a Town Center with shops, restaurants, services and a Publix supermarket.

Getting outside

North Park lists pickleball, tennis, basketball, sports fields and a playground. South Park lists bocce, tennis, a walking/running trail, picnic areas and a dog park.

The detail worth checking

Town amenities and neighborhood amenities aren’t interchangeable. The developer identifies some clubs as exclusive to specific communities. Check access, membership and any fees for each facility.

Make it your own visit

Try a Town Center stop, look at a park and drive the routes you would use most. Check current opening hours and access before you go.

Worth knowing about

A park to put on your map.

Big Corkscrew Island Regional Park, at 810 39th Avenue NE, has a playground, walking paths, pickleball and tennis courts, sports fields, a community center and an aquatic complex.

The county park page lists current hours, pool admission and registration information. Check the activity you want before making the trip.

From Jeff

You don’t have to be moving to find this useful.

I want this to be a place to get to know Naples a little better: different communities, everyday stops, things to try and information worth passing along.

Have a neighborhood you’d like covered or a local detail I should check? Send it my way.
